Susan Hrovat has an adult-only individual private practice. You may contact us by email, schedule an appointment online or call to schedule an appointment. Individuals are seen at the office at 65 Clayton Street in Mitchell, Ontario or via TeleHealth. Most appointments are 60- 90 minutes in length. For clients who require confidential assistance via email or phone contact in between sessions, time is billed at the same rate as personal appointments. Special arrangements can be made to accommodate unique circumstances such as in-home appointments (travel costs will apply). Susan accepts referrals directly from individuals or other health care professionals.
Counselling fees are payable at the time of each appointment, unless sessions have been prepaid. Payments for counselling services can be made by cash, cheque or e-transfer. Receipts for counselling services are issued at the end of each session.
Many Employee Assistance Programs and Extended Health Group Insurance plans will cover Psychotherapy if it is provided by a Masters Level Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (RSW). Check with your Human Resources Department or your insurance company if the services of a Registered Social Worker are covered. Canada Revenue Agency deems Social Work fees to be income tax deductible as a medical expense. They can also be applied as a business expense for people who own their own business. Susan Hrovat is a Licensed Service Provider with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and her practice includes acquired brain injury, complex orthopedic, spinal cord injury and catastrophic case files.
The courtesy of 24 hours notice is appreciated if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, otherwise a cancellation/missed appointment fee will be applied. Missed appointment fees must be paid prior to the next scheduled appointment Exceptions, such as emergencies may be allowed.
